First, I notice the upholstery on the driver’s seat of my car is peeling. I am taking it to the dealership after work Thursday and so help me if they try to say it’s not a warranty fix, I’ll probably lose my mind.
Then, I get a large Diet Dr. Pepper from McDonald’s (save your food/drink lectures) and spill its entire contents in my back floorboard as I’m getting out of the car at home. Thank God for my Husky Liners floor mats, I suppose.
And now, I feel a huge headache coming on. Just peachy!
I know, I know. “First world problems.” Still annoying. Oh, and I have to go to the sleep doctor (Who knew there was a such thing as a sleep doctor?) on Monday. I have almost every single symptom of sleep apnea. Fun times! Not.
Pics of my seat for your time:
It’s at the bottom of the driver’s seat. No idea why it is doing that. I haven’t done anything to the seat or cleaned it with any harsh chemicals. I also don’t scoot around on it where my belt would hurt it. I’m not too happy considering the car just passed four-months-old and 4,100 miles.

The seat is definitely a warranty fix, or it should be. Been to the sleep doctor myself. Maybe you’ll get to do a sleep study. You get to spend the night in a strange place with cables and electrodes hooked up to your face. Good times!
Wait, I’m not helping, am I? Sorry. Here’s hoping the rest of your weekend goes well.

I don’t see how they deny that claim. It’s a brand new car.

Hope they step up. I couldn’t live with that on a new car.

Looks like its time for some nice Sparco racing seats :)

That kind of vinyl delamination is definitely not normal. They should just pull the cover and put. A new one on for you. That should be warranty. Takes about 40 minutes to fix

Sweet. That's not too bad. The worst part will be the Kia Soul loaner car they'll make me drive. :(

(That's my car right there.) I hope you say that because it's a base model automatic.

The 1.6 and the auto do not a pleasant experience make. Otherwise, I like the styling and packaging. The drive just sucks when it's that slow.

The 1.6 with the manual has served me well for 60k miles. It is, however, not fast. Zippy and rev happy but not fast.

I think it would be a fun little runabout with a manual. The auto ruins it, though. However, I rented a 2.0 auto in D.C. for a week in 2014 and loved it. My dealer is a Mazda Kia Volvo franchise, so they almost exclusively use 1.6 auto Souls as their loaner cars.
